The design follows research on problematic pornography use, which puts the failure at the point of access rather than at the point of wanting. GoDark acts there, so the urge can stay and the route is gone.

You choose what goes dark long before you need it, so the decision is already made when the urge arrives. No partner, no accountability buddy, nobody watching: you are locking your own phone.
